Welcome to the Full Circle Network, set up as part of the LEADER funded
Full Circle Project run by Craven College, Skipton.

What is the WorcNet Full Circle Project?

A programme of business support for pre-start, start up and established businesses which includes enterprise training provided by Business Link Yorkshire, facilitated peer support circles - small groups of between 4 and 6 individuals who commit to meeting together on a regular basis to support one another in goal achievement, be each other's critical friends, provide accountability and share successes - and support in accessing small loan funding.

How is the Project funded?

The project is run by Craven College and supported by Yorkshire Dales LEADER, Business Link Yorkshire and Craven District Council.

Who is eligible?

Anyone aged 16+ in the rural areas of the Craven and Harrogate districts can access this programme.  However, under the Consumer Credit Act, the minimum age for loans is 18 years.

Who is the programme suitable for?

The Full Circle Project is ideal for any individual who is thinking of starting a business, has just started a business or wants to develop an existing business.  The programme is very much focused on individual needs so although our main target beneficiaries would be those at pre start and start up stage, the programme also works well for newly established businesses who may want to make a change, achieve something specific or perhaps set up a new business/trading arm. The programme works particularly well for sole traders or home workers, as the peer support circles help to overcome the isolation and lack of direction that can be a barrier to motivation and efficiency.

What is a peer support circle?

The project is also facilitating five locally based peer support circles, who will be encouraged and expected to meet on a regular basis (at least monthly) in order to exchange best practice, be critical friends, help resolve issues and to effect business and personal goal achievement.  Circles are trained and supported in running effective meetings, managing circle dynamics and creating a circle environment that encourages the sustainability of the circle itself as well as the individuals and businesses who are members.

How will the enterprise training be structured?

Enterprise training will be provided by Business Link Yorkshire though a combination of their programmed workshops and seminars and delivery direct to specific circles.  We can also use other providers to offer top up training as required.

How do the loans work?

Access to loan funds will be provided by WEETU, the Women's Employment, Enterprise & Training Unit, which helps individuals take control of their economic lives, offering advice, training and support to develop employment and enterprise opportunities.  WorcNet purchased the WEETU licence in 2008 and is the only organisation in the North with the licence to run the programme. Loans of up to £5,000 can be accessed through WEETU at a preferential rate and the process is fully supported under the WorcNet Full Circle programme.
